Here are the plans for the riding cars I plan on building. I don't have all the undercarraige finished but you can see the basic design. It's slighty larger than our current riding cars and is calculated to weigh 180lbs as it sits now. The steel sides are 1/8 plate and the floor and seats will be a stained plywood. The seat will also be removeable for storage of small items.

Do we have a way to upload multiple pics? If so how? If anybody sees any design flaws or has suggestions let me know. |

Steve,
Like your car and what a set of cool cad drawings. Me and my dad as you might know are building a 3.75 inch scale ridding car similar to Tim and Jims. The Frame is complete but i need to have dummey rivets inserted on both sides of the fishbelley. Our car will have buckey seats though instead of a bench for people in need of a more comfort ride like ppl with handicaps. Your car will be in 1.5 inch scale though right???????? Mine as i said will be in 3.75" but the trucks i purchased from Tim are 2.5" so the scale in prototypical terms will probably be a little off.

That set of drawings is for 1.5", I also have the drawings for 2.5". I posted a pic of the 2.5" riding car I am working on in the gallery. It was too big to post here. Here is the drawing of the car as it sits now. This frame weighs 115LBS. Once I order the trucks I wil be able to fab up the end plates. I do all my drawings on a program caled solidworks(http://www.solidworks.com). It allows me to design components ahead of time so I don't have to waste materials on mistakes and redesigns. It can also analyze the design for weaknesses and failure points. Safety First when it comes to projects that the public wil ride on.
