The construction of the new SCLS Depot has begun!
The architectural drawings were done by the architecture department at El Camino Junior College and they look great. The plan was approved by the city and work has begun.
Check back soon, pictures will be added.
Steve Claude and Kelley Smith did the excavation work up front and moved a lot of dirt around to make ready for the depot footings. The old club tractor did a lot of the work but it was necessary to rent a big tractor to do the heavy lifting.
The folks from Long Beach City College are providing the labor to build the depot as though it were a full sized building with all of the care and attention to detail required.
The forms were set in place on Saturday December 4th and the rebar will be bent and installed prior to the concrete pour on Saturday December 11th.
Phil and Steve stand in the footprint of the future depot.
NOTE: We are still looking for donations to help pay for the materials to build this building. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You only need three tools in life - WD-40, Duct Tape, and a Hammer. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape. If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.
