General Donations:

The Southern California Live Steamers needs your help. Insurance, landscaping, fuel, equipment maintenance, and new projects are very costly. While we do take in some cash donations using the little red box at our public run days, it just barely covers the cost of operations with the remainder of the costs being covered by the club's volunteer members. Now, through the power of the Internet, we are able to accept donations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! Just think, you could help keep the Southern California Live Steamers healthy, allowing us to upgrade our equipment, expand the track, plant more plants, and basically improve the service that we give you, the passengers, that you enjoy so much. You can help the Southern California Live Steamers upgrade the passenger cars that are used on the public run days on the first Sunday of each month and the new run day on the third Saturdays starting in March.

The new cars are wider, heavier, more stable and a lot more comfortable then the current passenger cars we are currently using. Unfortunately the new cars are also quite expensive costing approximately $4500 to $5000 each.

If you own a company or would like to make a personal, charitable contribution towards the purchase of these new cars please give us a call at 310-429-5428 and ask for Tim. For donations of $1250 or more, a donation plaque will be affixed to the riding cars as shown in the photo below. If you wish to sponsor a complete car we will attach 2 plaques on each side as shown in the image below. What better way to support the little trains at the park. On average we give from 1500 to 1700 rides in 4 hours on each run day so the new cars will be well used and appreciated by all.
