   It was no surprise when the old oil pump located at the rear of our property finally fell over. Actually, Tom Killed it!

With the help Steve Claude the land was excavated so that the pump could be properly installed. The team from Long Beach City College, built the forms and bent the rebar so that a proper base could be poured for the oil pump. Once the concrete has cured a crane will be brought in to lift and set the pump on the new base. 

Base concrete form in place, rebar grid in lower left.

Unfortunately the club will have to pay for the concrete which was an unexpected expense, any help with donations would be greatly appreciated.

	I used to be a rocket scientist, now I am just a space cadet. ------------------------------ You only need three tools in life - WD-40, Duct Tape, and a Hammer. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape. If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

	On Saturday December 11, the concrete arrived at around 12 Noon. We poured the slab for the pump first while they put the cement pump into place up front to pour the footings for the new depot. The slab took between 3 and 4 yards of concrete. Pouring the concrete into the form. Leveling the concrete in the form The concrete was brushed for texture and then the edges were formed.
