The new water tower at the front of the compound got it's skin and top today. Maxwell Reeve, who is doing this project for his BSA Eagle Scout service project,  and his team of volunteers, cut up some redwood tongue and groove pieces to build the outside of the water tower tank and nailed them into place around the water tower. They also built the roof and put down the first layer of tar paper. They will shingle the roof at another date.

Here are a few photos showing the project as of Friday, November 25th, 2011.

It won't be long before we install the tank and plumb it up to give clean water to our steam locomotives. Great job Maxwell and the members of BSA Troop 586. We really appreciate your hard work.

You only need three tools in life - WD-40, Duct Tape, and a Hammer. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape. If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.
