Many thanks to the scouts, leaders and parents of Boy Scout Troop 586 of Redondo Beach for their assistance with our new track.

Special thanks go to Wyatt Comon who organized the event as part of his Eagle Scout community service project. Wyatt, I am sure that you will make a fine Eagle Scout. I look forward to attending your Eagle Scout Court of Honor.

laying track is nutin compared to me and Marks operation up on crenshaw on that tree stump. We were at war with that giant bumble bee. Was like something out of a horror movie.

We may have messed up but it is a learning process. This weekend we will get it back and going right and hopefully a little better than before. To bad that slide valve has so much slack in the linkage. Probably why it gets dead spots. The real locos had them too I guess though, and on engines like Americans it could be a real issue. We need a little starting electric motor in the tender!
