This type of car is called a wagon top box car. This one was built by the well know live steamer Milon Thorley many years ago. Milon passed away last year and I feel was lucky to buy this nice car from his son Wayne, building one of these scale cars takes alot of time and craftsmanship and I can appreciate that. This car shows just how talented a model builder Milon was.

So. Cal. has the lulu II a 2-6-0 and the LULU a 4-4-0 is at the Lomita railroad museum. Maybe someone out there knows why these locos were named LULU.

Looks good Tom. I checked the photo in the Little Engines catalog and found that this engine did have a bell on it at one time.
