Comments: The cog railway has 7 Biodiesel locomotives, theyíre all Jhon Deere tier two engines, similar to what is used to run a cornbinder. Last time I was at the cog railway in 2005 they had 7 steam locomotives running. The Biodieselís are much more efficient, low maintenance only one crew man needed to run it and itís quiet. Most riders donít care if itís a Steam powered train. But fortunately enough people are interested in riding a steam powered cog railway train so they have one that makes two trips up and down the mountain a day and theyíre always sold out.
