This locomotive was making a wheel bearing noise at the run day. I took it home, pulled the side plate off the truck. The bearing was spinning on the axle so I use some green Loctite to hold it in place. We’ll see how that works. I may have to nerl the end of the axle. I also had to redo the wiring on the locomotive.. originally there was a sound system and all the lights and a battery were in the calf unit that control everything for the locomotive. Unfortunately, that unit was vandalized ans it sat out overnight on the steaming bays. I decided it was better to eliminate the sound system as we didn’t use it. I the put all the wiring for the bell, horn, and the lights back onto the locomotive itself. This was a lot of work but it’s a nice system now. |
