a rocket engine might use too much fuel, i would keep it simple, and use a jet engine.

That crane was built by Jerry Brown. He is a member of the Southern California Home Shop Machinists.
Here is a link to more pictures of the crane as it was being built plus a nice article. It is quite a piece of machinery.

Nah they two far. i invited them down for our pot luck and Mik Massee as well just to come and check it out adn said they cud bring locos if they wanted. Jim is prez out at OC. I tlked to Bill at Bitter Creek he said his shay be ther next year prob
